Ben's Chili Bowl
1213 U St Nw, Washington, Hillcrest Heights,
HUGE disappointment. Given the reputation I expected to at least like, not love, my food. I ordered the chili dog and was so disappointed that I didn't want to finish it. The chili was very bland and tasted watered down. The fries were good. The milkshake was good but was not worth the price. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Overhyped and overpriced.

Five Guys
2301 Georgia Ave Nw, Washington, Hillcrest Heights,
It's funny to read the reviews that panned Five Guys especially "Savage Insight". The first sign you know you shouldn't take his review seriously? His leading assertion that you 'can take seriously' his review... The fact that Five Guys star rating is higher than the other burger joints speaks more strongly than a self-important "international foodie and private gourmet mad scientist"...gimme a break!

Lauriol Plaza
1835 18th St Nw, Washington, Hillcrest Heights,
This is some of the best Mexican food the city has to offer (some of the best Margaritas too!). The best times to go are especially during the warmer months where you can eat outside on the patio or on the upper deck. But get there early or be prepared to have to scramble for parking and wait in long lines (even at the bar). It makes for a great night out on city with friends or a date. Afterwards, check out some of the clubs that surrounding area U Street and Adams Morgan has to offer.

1350 Okie St Ne, Washington, Hillcrest Heights,
Ghetto and crappy music. DC's dearth in nightlife continues with this horrid overpriced place.
